Curriculum Overview

At Rylands we follow a creative curriculum. Each term or half-term Upper School and Lower School will each choose a theme that they want to learn about. This theme will then be the focus for our learning and will include English, art, design & technology and science. When relevant we will also include PE, maths and ICT.

Each week the children will have a separate ICT lesson to teach them the skills from the curriculum and they will have two PE lessons.

Over a term each child will have four lessons of German, Music and art with a specialist teacher. They will also be taught a block of RE and PSHE lessons focusing on a seperate theme.

If you would like to find out more information about our curriculum please contact the school office and they will arrange an appointment with a member of teaching staff.
