Attendance

The school is committed to encouraging a high level of attendance from pupils and works closely with the parents to try and achieve this. The office staff track attendance throughout the school and the class with the best attendance each week will be rewarded with a cup in assembly every Monday morning. This class can then 'bank' ten minutes of extra play.

We are aware that there will be occasions when your child is unable to attend school, if this happens could you let the school office know as soon as possible by phone or letter/note in your child's diary.

Punctuality is also very important to us. The school gates are opened at 8:45am by Mr Buckingham, the children can then go straight into the classroom. This gives the pupils the opportunity to change reading books, speak to the teacher, organise their belongings and complete early work. A class teacher will complete the register at 8:55am, the children will then start lessons at 9:00am.

To encourage punctuality we will be having 'Punctuality Week' every so often. the children will receive a card to collect daily stamps on, if they get a full card it will go into a prize draw.
